Unlike traditional dentures a clip on denture doesn’t just rely on a tight fit and saliva to hold it in the mouth. This is a Implant retained clip on full upper denture replacing 14 teeth with a Chrome Cobalt reinforcement. You willnotice that the denture doesn’t cover the entire roof of the mouth (palate) where a lot of people get a lot of sensation from. A full palatal coverage can block the sensation of taste, temperature and textures from your food. All of which are things that make a meal more desirable and apetizing.
With this design for the denture we can provide a highly functional result to our clients at Designer Dentures. The patient already had 3 remaining implants in his mouth and those small blue circles are what hold onto the implants. These are called locators as they locate around the implant abutments. Because of this our client has been very comfortable wearing this daily and this particular denture is about 5 years old in this picture. He has maintained the cleanliness well by removing the denture daily themself and the metal reinforcement means that the patient has not damaged anything.
